Dropbox is a cloud storage platform that allows you to store and share files easily. It enables seamless access and collaboration across multiple devices. By integrating Fluent Support with Dropbox, you can automatically upload ticket-attached files to Dropbox, streamlining your workflow.
Steps to Integrate Fluent Support with Dropbox #
To integrate Fluent Support with Dropbox, follow these steps:
- Create or Log in to your Dropbox account.
- Create an app in Dropbox.
- Configure settings and permissions for the Dropbox app.
- Obtain the app’s credentials.
- Paste the credentials in Fluent Support.
Dropbox App Create #
Now go to your Dropbox Account developer section then click on Create Apps button.
In Choose an API section select Scoped Access and in the type of access, you need to select App folder. Now give a name to your app and click on create app button.
Your App settings page will come now here you will need your OAuth 2 redirect URL. To get this OAuth2 redirect URL you need to go to your Fluent Support Dropbox Settings. Go to your Fluent Support dashboard Global Settings> File Upload Integration enable Dropbox and click on the Configure button.
A pop-up will come then copy the oAuth2 Redirect URL from it.
Now paste the URL in the Dropbox app settings like the below screenshot.
After that go to the permissions section of your Dropbox app and select these areas (files.metadata.write, files.content.write, files.content.read, sharing.write, file_requests.write) now click on the submit button.
Then Copy the App Key and App Secret from your Dropbox app settings.
Configure Fluent Support #
Go to your Fluent Support Dropbox configure settings then paste the App key and App Secret into Client ID and Client Secret. Lastly, click on the Connect to Dropbox button.
Congratulations! You have successfully integrated Dropbox with Fluent Support.
